In Anthony’s Own Words…
I had always been in good shape growing up. Playing sports for many years allowed me to keep in great shape without much effort.
I got into bodybuilding in my mid-20s when a few bodybuilders approached me in the gym and told the I have a good foundation for it. After going to a few bodybuilding shows, I fell in love with the idea of competing and looking like a bodybuilder.
Growing up, I was always challenged due to dyslexia. In my early years, my parents instilled in me one important thing: No matter what challenges you face, you can overcome anything with a positive mindset. I have always taken on life and it’s challenges with that mindset. Bodybuilding is no different. I am very open to criticism, and I take it as it comes. When someone tells me I need to work on something or get bigger in a weak area, I don’t harp on it. I just work hard and bust my ass to improve in that area, so when I see that judge or critic again, they can be sure to know I’ve been putting in the work.
