Powerlifter Larry Williams, aka LarryWheels, used to be small and weak. Yeah, Larry Williams…small and weak! So he says! Well, Larry ain’t small and weak no more!
Larry is 6’1″ tall and weighs around 260 lbs and is pretty damn lean, but when he was 14 years old, he decided to start lifting weights to make himself bigger and stronger. growing up in St. Martin, Larry didn’t have the funds to pay for the gym, so he decided to make his own weights with a broom stick and some cinderblocks. He bench pressed every day.
He moved to New York when he was 16 and joined a gym to start bodybuilding. After six months of training, Larry lost interest in bodybuilding and decided to train for strength. At 18 years old, he entered his first powerlifting competition and totalled 1835 lbs in knee wraps.
Recently (as of Dec 2016), Larry competed in the 242 lb weight class at the Reebok Record Breakers and hit a 771 lb squat in sleeves, 573 lb bench and an 826 lb deadlift for a 2171 lb total, which is a 242 lb all-time record in sleeves.
