IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Tristen Escolastico played football and wrestled growing up in northern New Jersey. Through sports, Tristen started training with weights. His muscles developed rapidly, and with the gift of a high metabolism, Tristen decided to enter his first bodybuilding show in 2010. He competed in the Teen division and destroyed the competition as a middleweight.
In 2011, Tristen made some substantial gains and competed at the Collegiate Nationals as a light heavyweight bodybuilder. He placed 3rd, but he learned some valuable lessons. In 2012, Tristen put a decent amount of mass on his legs to balance them with his upper body. That year, he took 1st place as a light heavyweight at the NPC East Coast Championships and 2nd place at the extremely competitive NPC Eastern USA.
Tristen had all the pieces in place and needed to take his physique to the next level. He hired Fakhri Mubarak, a bodybuilding guru, to do just that. 2013 was the year where Tristen transformed his body from an amateur bodybuilder to a professional bodybuilder adding on thickness while maintaining thin skin.
In 2014, Tristen needed to prove himself to be worthy of a bodybuilding pro card. With his national qualification under his belt, Tristen entered the extremely competitive IFBB North American Championships as a light heavyweight bodybuilder. Tristen beat out 39 other competitors to take 1st place and earn his professional bodybuilding card.
In 2015, Tristen competed as a pro bodybuilder for the first time at the Europa Games in Phoenix, AZ. He took 4th place but looked like he could have placed higher. For 2016, Tristen is taking the year off to pack on some serious mass. He’ll be competing again at the prestigious New York Pro in 2017.
